Police Chief Mark Elliott’s resignation in December and Frank Boyles retirement at the end of February has been costly to taxpayers in terms of severance payments, estimated to be somewhere between $150,000 and $200,000 including cash and benefits. The terms defining these payments is included in Boyle’s employment agreement dated April 2 of last year and Elliott’s severance agreement dated December 3 of last year. Taxpayers should understand these payments are in addition to salary and benefits received for time worked.The agreements are included for review by visitors to this website.
