There’s a boondoggle lurking in Prior Lake City Hall. It’s called the Technology Village Business Accelerator — no relation to the Hadron Collider, an accelerator that’s on the hunt for black holes and parallel universes of a different sort.
The one at City Hall just sucks up public funds under the guise of economic development. More specifically, for a $185,000 annual budget Prior Lake taxpayers are supporting an Economic Development Authority (EDA) and within it a Technology Village which, according to its mission statement:
