It’s that time of year again. City Manager Frank Boyles tells us he needs more money to manage the city, and if he doesn’t get it, one of the possible cost-cutting options he offered is closing the library.
Who’s kidding whom? It’s a county library where the county pays for books, supplies and salaries, not the city. And with Mayor Ken Hedberg asking for a tax levy increase, one might assume that the city is broke. Maybe it’s time to review the city’s financial documents.
